Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. Do not force the door open with tools, as this can damage the door and seal.
Try emergency release:
- Many Crosley front-load models have a manual door lock release tab accessible through the lower front panel or behind the pump access door. Pull the tab gently to release the lock.
Inspect and replace lock if needed:
- Access the door lock assembly as in F13.
- Check for physical damage, broken plastic parts, or signs of overheating.
- Test the lock motor/solenoid for continuity. Replace the door lock assembly if it is mechanically stuck or electrically open.
If lock is good: The control board may not be sending the unlock command. This requires further electrical diagnosis and likely control replacement.
