Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply.

Inspect dispenser drawer and housing:

• Remove the detergent dispenser drawer completely. Clean out detergent buildup, fabric softener residue, and foreign objects.
• Check that the drawer slides freely and that no plastic parts are broken.

Check dispenser motor (if equipped):

• Remove the top panel to access the dispenser motor and cam assembly.
• Inspect wiring connections and look for signs of overheating.
• Manually rotate the cam (with power off) to ensure it is not jammed.

Corrective action: Replace the dispenser motor assembly if it is seized or does not receive proper voltage when commanded (live-voltage testing should be done only by trained personnel). If the motor and wiring are good, the main control output may be faulty.
