Possible Causes
Clogged inlet screens, partially closed water supply valves, failed water inlet valve coil, kinked inlet hoses
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off both hot and cold water valves.
Check external supply:
- Verify that both supply valves are fully open.
- Disconnect hoses from the back of the washer and run them into a bucket to confirm strong water flow from the house plumbing.
Clean inlet screens:
- Inspect the small screens inside the washer's inlet valve ports. Remove debris with a soft brush; do not damage the screens.
Test inlet valve:
- With the washer unplugged, measure resistance across each valve coil. Replace the water inlet valve assembly if a coil is open or if the valve does not open when energized (live testing should be done only by trained personnel).
