Possible Causes

Detergent residue on door boot and drum, standing water in gasket folds, infrequent hot washes, clogged drain trap

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Routine cleaning:

  • Run a hot "Clean Washer" or longest hot cycle with no clothes, using a washer cleaner tablet or 1 cup of white vinegar.
  • Wipe the door boot (gasket) thoroughly, pulling back folds to remove trapped lint and residue.
  • Leave the door and dispenser drawer slightly open between uses to allow drying.

Check drain trap:

  • Clean the drain pump filter as described in F02 to remove trapped debris that can cause odor.
