Possible Causes

Leaking drain hose or tub-to-pump hose, Loose hose clamp, Cracked outer tub, Faulty inlet valve or dispenser hose leaking into base

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water tap immediately. Mop up any water around the machine to prevent slipping.

  • Inspect base tray: Remove the front kick panel or rear panel to check for water in the base. Many Dawlance models have a float switch that triggers E13 when water is detected.
  • Dry the base: Carefully tilt the washer slightly (with help) and use towels or a sponge to remove water from the base tray. Do not tip excessively to avoid damaging suspension.
  • Locate the leak source: Examine all visible hoses (inlet, tub-to-pump, pump-to-drain) for cracks, loose clamps, or pinholes. Tighten clamps and replace damaged hoses.
  • Check dispenser and door seal: Look for water trails from the detergent drawer or door gasket. Clean and reseat the gasket; replace if torn.

After fixing the leak and drying the base, plug in and run a short cycle while observing for new leaks. If E13 reappears, the float switch or tub may be damaged and require professional service.
