Washer does not drain water, drum remains full, E2 displayed on Dawlance washing machine.

Safety first: Unplug the Dawlance washer and keep towels or a shallow tray ready to catch water.

• Access and clean drain filter (if equipped): On many Dawlance front-load models, a small access door is located at the bottom front. Open it, place a tray under the cap, and slowly unscrew the drain filter. Allow water to drain. Remove coins, buttons, lint, or other debris. Clean the filter thoroughly and reinstall it tightly.
• Check drain hose: Inspect the entire length of the drain hose for kinks, crushing, or clogs. Detach the hose from the house drain and flush it with water to ensure it is clear.
• Check standpipe or floor drain: Make sure the household drain is not blocked. A blocked standpipe can cause slow or no draining and trigger E2.
• Inspect drain pump (advanced): With the machine unplugged, remove the rear or bottom panel to access the drain pump. Check for foreign objects in the pump housing and around the impeller. If the impeller is jammed or loose on the shaft, or the pump hums but does not spin, the pump may need replacement.
• Test a drain/spin cycle: Reassemble, plug in, and run a drain or spin-only program. If water now drains quickly and E2 is cleared, the blockage was the cause.

If the pump does not run at all and the wiring is intact, replace the drain pump motor or contact Dawlance service for control board testing.
