Possible Causes
Faulty tachometer coil on motor, Loose tachometer connector, Broken motor harness, Defective motor control circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the motor.
- Inspect motor connector: Remove the rear panel and locate the motor. Check that all connectors, including the small tachometer plug, are firmly seated.
- Check wiring harness: Look for damaged or pinched wires between the motor and PCB.
- Test tachometer coil (advanced): Disconnect the tachometer connector and measure resistance across its terminals. Typical values are 100–200 Ω. If open or shorted, replace the motor or tachometer assembly (depending on design).
If wiring and tachometer are good, the motor control section of the PCB may be faulty. This repair should be carried out by an authorized Dawlance technician.
