Possible Causes

Safety first: Unplug the washer.

Check door lock connector: Access the door lock behind the front panel or gasket and ensure the wiring plug is secure.
Test lock microswitch (advanced): With the lock removed, use a multimeter to check continuity of the switch when the lock is engaged. If it does not change state, replace the door lock assembly.
