Possible Causes

Blocked pressure hose from tub to sensor, Loose or cracked pressure hose, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor, Defective control board input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Dawlance washer and close the water tap.

  • Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top panel. Locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the bottom side of the tub to the pressure sensor (usually mounted on the side wall or under the top). Check for kinks, blockages (soap scum), or cracks. Detach the hose and blow through it gently to clear any blockage. Reattach firmly.
  • Check for water in the hose: Any water trapped in the pressure hose can cause false readings. Drain and dry the hose before reconnecting.
  • Examine the pressure sensor: Look for signs of corrosion or burnt smell on the sensor connector. Reseat the wiring plug securely.
  • Test a short cycle: Plug the washer back in, turn on the water, and run a quick wash. Observe if the water level now reaches normal and E5 disappears.

If the error persists, the pressure sensor itself may be faulty and should be replaced with a compatible Dawlance water level sensor. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main PCB may require professional service.
