Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer immediately and close the water tap to prevent flooding.
- Check water level: If the drum is overfilled, manually drain water using the drain filter or by lowering the drain hose into a bucket.
- Inspect inlet valve: With the machine unplugged and tap closed, remove the inlet hose. If water continues to flow from the valve when the tap is opened but the machine is off, the valve is mechanically stuck and must be replaced.
- Check pressure hose and sensor: Remove the top cover and inspect the pressure hose for disconnection or damage. Reattach securely and ensure no leaks. Verify the sensor connector is tight.
- Test with a short cycle: After corrections, plug in, open the tap, and run a quick wash while monitoring the fill level. If water still overfills, replace the water inlet valve and/or pressure sensor.
If E9 persists after replacing these components, the control board may be energizing the valve incorrectly and should be inspected by a Dawlance service center.
