Possible Causes
Faulty wash motor winding, Defective motor capacitor (top-load), Broken drive belt, Failed motor relay on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the motor or belt.
- Check for overload: Remove some clothes and try starting the cycle again.
- Inspect drive belt: Remove the rear panel and verify the belt is intact and properly tensioned. Replace if broken or badly worn.
- Check motor capacitor (if present): On Dawlance top-load models, locate and test the capacitor. Replace if bulged or out-of-spec.
If the motor still does not run, the motor or PCB may be defective and should be tested by a Dawlance technician.
