How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the control panel or top cover.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then reconnect and test. Transient glitches can sometimes be cleared this way.
- Inspect connectors (advanced): Remove the top cover and, if necessary, the front control fascia. Locate the ribbon cable or harness linking the display board to the main board. Reseat both ends carefully.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of water ingress around the control panel (from steam or leaks). Dry thoroughly and correct any leak sources.
If E14 persists, one of the boards may be defective. Board-level repair should be performed by a qualified Defy technician.
