Washer vibrates excessively and moves across the floor

Safety first: Unplug the washer before tilting or moving it.

• Check transit bolts: On new installations, ensure all rear transit bolts and spacers have been removed according to the Defy manual.
• Level the washer: Adjust the feet so the machine is stable and does not rock. Lock the nuts against the base.
• Stabilize floor: Place the washer on a solid, level surface. Avoid flexible wooden floors if possible.

If vibration continues despite correct installation, the suspension system may need inspection.
