Possible Causes
Loose or damaged wiring harness between pump and control, Intermittent drain pump motor, Oxidized connectors at pump or board, Control board sensing fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before touching wiring.
- Inspect harness: Trace the wiring from the drain pump to the main control board. Look for pinched, cut, or abraded insulation. Repair or replace damaged sections.
- Clean connectors: Unplug the pump connector and the corresponding connector at the board. Spray with electrical contact cleaner and reconnect firmly.
- Check pump operation: Run a drain cycle and gently wiggle the harness (without touching live terminals). If the pump cuts in and out, the harness or connector is suspect.
- Replace suspect parts: If wiring is intact but E24 persists, replace the drain pump. If that fails to resolve the issue, the main control board may need replacement.
