Possible Causes
Failed heating element, Faulty NTC temperature sensor, Wiring issue to heater, Control board heater relay fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and ensure water is cool before working near the heater.
- Check for hot wash: Run a hot cycle and feel the door glass after 15–20 minutes. If it remains cold, the heater may not be working.
- Access heater: On many Electrolux models, the heater is located at the bottom front or rear of the tub. Remove the rear or front panel to access.
- Test element (advanced): Use a multimeter to measure resistance across the heater terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed element.
- Inspect wiring and NTC: Ensure connectors are tight and the NTC sensor (often mounted in the heater bracket) is properly seated.
Heater or control board replacement should follow Electrolux service procedures.
