Washer door will not unlock after a power outage or cycle interruption (no code shown).

Safety first: Unplug the washer. Do not force the door open.

• Wait a few minutes: Some locks have a thermal delay and will release after cooling.
• Manual release: Access the door lock area by removing the lower front panel or pulling back the door boot. Look for a manual release tab or pull cord on the lock assembly and pull gently to open the door.
• Inspect latch and strike: Once open, check for broken plastic pieces or misalignment. Replace the door lock assembly or door strike if damaged.
• Test with empty cycle: After repair, run a short cycle to confirm the door locks and unlocks properly.
