Washer displays F17, often related to the door not closing properly at the start of a cycle.

Safety: Ensure the door area is clear of fingers and objects before closing.

• Close door firmly: Push the Gorenje washer door until you hear a positive click. Do not slam excessively.
• Check for obstructions: Inspect the door gasket for clothing or debris trapped between the door and the seal.
• Inspect hinge and latch: Look for a sagging door, a bent hinge, or a worn latch hook. Tighten hinge screws if the door has dropped.
• Check lock alignment: Verify that the latch hook enters the lock opening centrally. If misaligned, adjust the hinge or replace the lock.

If F17 persists with a properly closing door, the door lock assembly may be faulty and should be replaced.
