Possible Causes
Faulty or miscalibrated pressure sensor, Blocked air trap at bottom of tub, Kinked or waterlogged pressure hose, Control board misreading sensor signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply before removing hoses.
Step-by-step checks:
- Clean air trap: At the bottom side of the outer tub, locate the air chamber where the pressure hose connects. Remove the hose and clean the chamber of detergent sludge and lint using a small brush and hot water.
- Inspect pressure hose: Ensure the hose is not kinked, flattened, or full of water. Blow through it to confirm it is clear. Replace if hardened or cracked.
- Replace pressure sensor if suspect: If cleaning does not resolve E12, replace the pressure sensor with the correct Grundig part number. Mount it securely and reconnect the hose and wiring.
- Reset and test: After reassembly, run a rinse and spin cycle to verify proper filling and draining without error.
