Possible Causes
Worn shock absorbers, Broken or stretched suspension springs, Transit bolts not removed after installation, Unlevel appliance on floor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before tipping or moving it.
Step-by-step checks:
- Check transit bolts: If the washer is newly installed, ensure all Grundig transit bolts at the rear have been removed. Operating with transit bolts in place causes severe vibration.
- Level the machine: Adjust the front and rear feet so the washer is stable and does not rock. Use a spirit level on top of the machine.
- Inspect shock absorbers: Remove the rear panel and observe the shock absorbers attached to the tub and base. If they are oily, loose, or offer little resistance when moved by hand, replace them as a set.
- Check suspension springs: From the top, inspect the springs supporting the tub. Replace any that are stretched, broken, or deformed.
- Load distribution: Advise users to avoid washing single heavy items alone and to distribute laundry evenly.
