Possible Causes
Leaking door seal (gasket), Loose hose clamp on tub or pump, Cracked tub or sump hose, Faulty inlet valve or dispenser leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.
- Inspect around the machine: Look for visible water under or around the washer. Mop up standing water.
- Check base tray (if accessible): Remove the lower front panel or rear panel to inspect the base. Many Haier models have a float switch that triggers E13 when water collects in the tray. Dry the tray completely and gently lift the float to ensure it moves freely.
- Identify leak source: Run a short fill cycle while observing hoses, the door gasket, the detergent drawer, and the pump area. Look for drips or sprays.
- Tighten or replace components: Tighten loose hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, and inspect the door gasket for tears or mold damage. Replace the gasket if leaking at the door.
- If tub or internal components are cracked: Major structural leaks usually require professional replacement of the tub or related parts.
