Safety first: Use gloves and eye protection when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Run a tub clean cycle: Use the built-in tub clean program (if available) with a washing machine cleaner or a cup of white vinegar (do not mix with bleach).
- Clean gasket: Wipe the door seal folds with a cloth soaked in mild detergent or diluted bleach solution. Rinse thoroughly.
- Clean dispenser drawer: Remove and wash the detergent drawer and housing to remove residue.
- Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door slightly open to allow the interior to dry.
- Repeat regularly: Perform a hot maintenance wash monthly to prevent odors.
