Possible Causes
Clogged inlet water filter screens, Defective water inlet valve, Low household water pressure or closed tap, Faulty water level pressure switch or hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water taps before disconnecting hoses.
- Check water supply: Ensure both hot and cold (if used) taps feeding the Hansa washer are fully open. Verify water pressure by briefly opening the tap into a bucket.
- Clean inlet filters: Turn off water, disconnect the inlet hose(s) from the back of the washer, and remove the small mesh filters inside the valve ports. Rinse under running water and brush off debris. Reinstall and reconnect hoses firmly.
- Inspect inlet hose: Make sure the hose is not kinked, crushed, or frozen. Straighten or replace if necessary.
- Test water inlet valve: With power off, remove the top cover and locate the water inlet valve assembly. Check for burnt coils or cracked housing. Use a multimeter to measure coil resistance; an open circuit indicates a bad valve. Replace the valve if defective.
- Check pressure switch and hose: Locate the pressure switch (usually near the top side) and its thin air hose going to the tub. Ensure the hose is not split, blocked, or disconnected. Clear any blockage and reseat both ends.
- Run a test cycle: Restore power and water, then run a quick wash to confirm normal filling.
