Possible Causes

Shorted door lock, Damaged wiring between door lock and control module, Faulty main control module input circuit, Moisture ingress in door lock connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before touching the door lock or wiring.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the front gasket clamp and pull back the door seal to access the door lock. Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or burning at the lock and connector.
  • Dry and clean: If moisture is present, dry the area thoroughly. Clean light corrosion from terminals with contact cleaner and a soft brush.
  • Check wiring continuity: With a multimeter, test continuity of each wire from the door lock connector to the main control module plug. Repair or replace any broken or high-resistance wires.
  • Replace door lock if shorted: If the lock shows very low resistance between supply and signal pins or has visible damage, replace the door lock assembly with a Hansa-compatible part.
  • Control module check: If a new lock and good wiring still result in E07, the control module input circuit may be damaged. Board repair or replacement is typically required.
