Possible Causes
Severely unbalanced load, Worn suspension shock absorbers, Faulty tachometer feedback, Defective motor control circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before internal inspection. Do not touch moving parts during operation.
- Redistribute the load: Open the door (after the lock releases) and check if heavy items are bunched on one side. Redistribute laundry evenly and remove some items if the drum is overfilled. Run a spin-only cycle.
- Check suspension: Tilt the washer slightly and push down on the drum from the top. Excessive bouncing indicates worn shock absorbers. Inspect the shocks at the bottom of the tub for oil leakage or broken mounts. Replace worn shock absorbers in pairs.
- Inspect motor and tachometer: Access the motor and verify that the tachometer connector is secure and wiring is intact. If E08 appears with light loads and good suspension, test the tachometer as described for E06.
- Control module: Persistent E08 with all mechanical parts in good condition may indicate a motor control board fault. Professional diagnosis is recommended.
