Possible Causes
Partially blocked inlet valve, Low water pressure, Leaking tub or hose causing level not to rise, Faulty pressure switch calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close water taps before inspection.
- Check for leaks: Look under and around the washer during a fill attempt (use a flashlight). If water is leaking from the tub, hoses, or detergent drawer, repair leaks first (see leak-related entries).
- Verify inlet flow: Confirm strong water flow through the inlet valve by disconnecting the hose and briefly opening the tap into a bucket. Clean or replace the inlet valve if flow is weak through the valve.
- Inspect pressure system: Ensure the pressure hose from the tub to the pressure switch is not partially blocked with detergent residue. Remove and flush it with warm water.
- Replace pressure switch if needed: If the switch does not respond correctly to water level changes, replace it with a compatible Hansa pressure switch.
