Possible Causes
Worn shock absorbers, Broken or stretched suspension springs, Unbalanced load, Loose concrete counterweights on Hansa drum assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. Do not place hands inside the drum while it is moving.
- Check load: Ensure the drum is not overloaded and that heavy items (e.g., towels) are evenly distributed. Run a spin with fewer items.
- Inspect shocks: Remove the rear or front panel to access the bottom of the tub. Check the shock absorbers for oil leakage, broken mounts, or excessive play. Replace both shocks if worn.
- Check springs and counterweights: Inspect the top suspension springs and concrete counterweights bolted to the tub. Tighten loose bolts and replace broken springs.
- Level the washer: Adjust the feet so the washer is stable and does not rock. Use a spirit level on the top panel.
