Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or hose, Faulty pressure switch (water level sensor), Kinked or split pressure hose, Wiring fault to pressure switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply. Be prepared for water spillage.

F04 indicates the control thinks the tub is overfilled or already full.

  • Drain the machine: Use the emergency drain hose or pump filter at the front bottom (if fitted) to remove water from the tub.
  • Access pressure switch: Remove the top cover. The pressure switch is a round device with a small rubber hose attached, usually mounted on the side wall or top frame.
  • Check pressure hose: Inspect the thin rubber hose from the tub/pressure chamber to the switch. Ensure it is not kinked, blocked, or split. Blow gently through the hose (disconnected from the switch) to clear any soap residue or debris.
  • Clean pressure chamber: At the tub end, the hose connects to a small chamber. If accessible, remove and clean this chamber of sludge and detergent build-up.
  • Test the switch: With the hose reconnected, gently blow into it and listen for 2–3 distinct clicks from the pressure switch. If no clicks are heard or the switch rattles loosely, replace the pressure switch.
  • Wiring check: Ensure the electrical connector on the switch is secure and wires are intact.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit the top, restore power, and run a rinse/spin cycle to confirm the error is cleared.
