Possible Causes

Failed heating element, Faulty heater relay on control board, Loose heater wiring, Short to earth on heater

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and allow time for any hot water to cool before working near the heater.

F07 relates to the heating circuit not operating correctly.

  • Access heater: Remove the rear panel. The heater is mounted in the bottom of the tub with two large terminals and an earth connection.
  • Visual inspection: Check for burnt connectors, melted insulation, or signs of water leakage around the heater seal.
  • Test heater resistance: Disconnect the heater wires. Using a multimeter, measure resistance across the heater terminals. Typical values are 20–30 Ω. If open circuit or very low resistance, replace the heater.
  • Earth leakage test: Measure between each heater terminal and the metal tub. There should be no continuity. If there is, the heater is leaking to earth and must be replaced.
  • Check wiring: Ensure all heater and earth wires are tight and undamaged.
  • Control board: If the heater and wiring are good, the heater relay or triac on the control board may be faulty. Replacement of the board is usually required.
  • Reassemble and test: Fit the new heater with a light smear of washing-up liquid on the seal, tighten the clamp nut evenly, reassemble, and run a 60°C wash to confirm heating.
