Possible Causes
Loose or split drain hose, Loose tub-to-pump hose, Cracked outer tub, Leaking heater or pump seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water. Tilt the machine only with assistance to avoid injury.
- Identify leak source: Run a short fill/drain cycle while observing the underside and rear (with panels removed) using a torch. Do not touch internal parts while powered.
- Check hoses: Inspect the drain hose, tub-to-pump hose, and dispenser-to-tub hose for splits or loose clamps. Tighten clamps and replace any damaged hoses.
- Heater and pump seals: Look for water around the heater mounting and pump body. If leaking, replace the heater seal or pump assembly.
- Outer tub cracks: If the plastic outer tub is cracked, it usually requires replacement of the entire tub assembly, which is a major repair best left to a technician.
