Possible Causes
Door lock not engaged, Unbalanced load detected, Faulty lid switch, Control board spin inhibit logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before testing switches.
- Confirm door lock: Ensure the door is fully closed and the lock engages with an audible click.
- Redistribute load: Open the lid, rearrange the load, and remove heavy single items. Restart spin.
- Test lid switch: Use a multimeter to verify the lid switch closes when the lid is shut. Replace if defective.
- Control reset: Unplug the washer for 5 minutes to reset the control. If E dC persists with a good lock and switch, the control board may need replacement.
