Safety: Disconnect power before servicing the door lock area.

• Check for obstructions: Inspect the door/lid area for clothing, foreign objects, or detergent buildup preventing the latch from engaging fully.
• Inspect door strike: Verify the metal or plastic strike on the door is not bent, cracked, or loose. Tighten mounting screws or replace the strike if damaged.
• Clean latch area: Wipe away detergent residue or rust from the latch opening and strike using a damp cloth. Heavy buildup can prevent full engagement.
• Test lock operation: With the front or top panel removed, observe the lock while starting a cycle (use caution around live voltage). If the solenoid does not pull in or is very weak, replace the door lock assembly.
• Check harness: Ensure the connector at the door lock and at the control board is fully seated. Repair any broken or corroded wires.
