How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and be prepared for water spillage when opening the pump area.
- Access pump: Remove the lower front panel or rear panel (model dependent) to access the drain pump.
- Clean filter: If equipped with a clean-out, unscrew the pump filter cap and remove debris such as coins, lint, or small garments. Reinstall securely.
- Inspect hoses: Check the tub-to-pump and pump-to-drain hoses for clogs or kinks. Clear any obstructions.
- Test pump: With the washer unplugged, check pump impeller for damage and verify the motor windings have continuity. Replace the pump if the motor is open or the impeller is seized.
- Secure wiring: Ensure the pump connector is tight and free of corrosion.
