How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before rotating or removing drive components.
- Manual rotation: Try to spin the drum by hand. If it will not move or is very stiff, inspect for obstructions or bearing failure.
- Check under tub: Remove the rear or bottom panel and inspect the area around the drive pulley for objects (screws, coins) wedged in the belt or pulley.
- Inspect belt: Verify the belt is properly seated and not jammed. Replace if frayed or damaged.
- Motor test: Disconnect the motor and test windings for continuity. Replace the motor if open or shorted.
