Possible Causes
Closed or partially closed water supply valves, Clogged inlet screens on water valve, Defective water inlet valve, Faulty water level/pressure sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and turn off both hot and cold water supply valves before disconnecting hoses.
- Check supply: Confirm both hot and cold faucets are fully open and household water pressure is adequate.
- Clean inlet screens: Disconnect the fill hoses from the back of the washer. Inspect the small metal screens inside the valve ports and remove debris with a small brush. Do not puncture the screens.
- Test water flow: Briefly run water from the hoses into a bucket to ensure strong flow from the house plumbing.
- Valve test: With power disconnected, access the water inlet valve. Measure coil resistance with a multimeter; an open coil indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Check pressure hose: Inspect the small rubber hose from the tub to the pressure sensor for kinks, cracks, or blockages. Clear or replace as needed.
