Washer displays F29 and door may remain locked; drain may have completed but spin did not start.

Safety First: Unplug the washer. Water inside the drum should be drained manually if necessary.

Step-by-step checks:

• 1. Manually unlock door: On many Inglis front-loaders, there is an emergency release tab near the door lock accessible from the bottom front or by removing the lower panel. Pull the tab to open the door.
• 2. Inspect door lock: Access the lock assembly and check for broken plastic parts or signs of overheating.
• 3. Test unlock coil: With the lock removed and disconnected, measure resistance of the unlock coil per tech sheet. Replace the lock if open or shorted.
• 4. Check harness and control: Ensure wiring is intact. If the lock tests good but does not receive voltage to unlock at end of cycle, the control board may be faulty.
