Possible Causes

Loose hose clamp on tub-to-pump hose, Cracked drain pump housing, Split recirculation or inlet hose, Leaking tub seam or gasket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and shut off water supply. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.

  • Identify leak source: Remove the rear or bottom panel of the Insignia washer and run a short fill/agitate cycle while observing (keep clear of moving parts).
  • Tighten clamps: If water drips from a hose connection, tighten the clamp or replace it with a new worm-gear clamp.
  • Replace cracked parts: If the pump housing or a hose is cracked, replace the Insignia drain pump or hose with OEM parts.
  • Check tub seam: If water appears to seep from the tub seam, the tub assembly may be compromised and often requires replacement of the affected tub half.
