Possible Causes

Failed NTC temperature sensor in heater circuit, faulty water level pressure switch, damaged wiring harness between sensor and control

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Unplug the washer and shut off both hot and cold water supply valves.

Steps (temperature-sensor models):
  • Access heater/NTC: Remove rear panel. Locate the heater element at the bottom of the tub; the NTC sensor is usually clipped into or near the heater bracket.
  • Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the NTC to the main control for pinched or broken wires. Reseat connectors.
  • Test NTC: Measure resistance across the NTC terminals with a multimeter. Typical values are 10–20 kΩ at room temperature. Replace if open or shorted.
Steps (pressure-switch models):
  • Access pressure switch: Remove top panel. Locate the round plastic pressure switch with a small rubber hose attached.
  • Inspect hose: Remove the hose and blow through it to ensure it is clear. Check for cracks or water in the hose.
  • Check air dome: Ensure the air dome port at the tub is not clogged with detergent residue.
  • Reseat connectors: Unplug and reconnect the pressure switch wiring harness.
