Possible Causes
Failed heater relay on main control, open heating element, shorted heating element, loose heater wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the washer. Heating circuits can present shock risk even when not actively heating.
Steps:- Access heater: Remove rear panel. Locate the heater element at the bottom of the outer tub.
- Inspect wiring: Check for burnt or loose connectors at the heater and along the harness to the control board.
- Test heater element: Disconnect wires and measure resistance across terminals with a multimeter (typical 10–30 Ω). Replace if open or shorted to ground.
- Check for leaks: Inspect around the heater seal for signs of water leakage.
- Control board check: If the heater is good, the heater relay on the main control may be failed. Inspect the board for burnt spots.
