How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the washer. Heating circuits can present shock risk even when not actively heating.
Steps:
- Access heater: Remove rear panel. Locate the heater element at the bottom of the outer tub with two large terminals and a ground.
- Inspect wiring: Check for burnt or loose connectors at the heater and along the harness to the control board.
- Test heater element: Disconnect the wires and measure resistance across the heater terminals with a multimeter. Typical values are 10–30 Ω (check your model). Replace if open or shorted to ground.
- Check for leaks: Inspect around the heater seal for signs of water leakage that could short the element.
- Control board check: If the heater tests good and wiring is intact, the heater relay on the main control may be stuck or failed. Inspect the board for burnt spots and replace the main control if necessary.
After repair: Run a hot wash and verify the washer heats (door glass should feel warm after 15–20 minutes) and that F07 does not return.
