Washer shows F26; may not start or may stop unexpectedly.

Safety First: Unplug the washer before working on the door area.

Steps:

• Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and the strike engages the lock.
• Inspect strike: Replace the door strike if cracked or loose.
• Access door switch: Remove the front gasket clamp and pull back the boot to reach the door switch assembly. Remove mounting screws and pull out the switch.
• Inspect wiring: Verify the connector is tight and wires are not broken. Reseat connector.
• Test switch: Use a multimeter to check continuity of the switch contacts when the latch is engaged. Replace the door switch assembly if defective.
