Possible Causes
Use of non-HE detergent, overuse of detergent, blocked pressure hose causing false suds detection, partially clogged drain system
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Keep children and pets away from leaking suds; floor can be slippery.
Steps:
- Pause detergent use: Do not add more detergent. Run an extra rinse and spin cycle to clear suds.
- Use HE detergent only: Switch to high-efficiency (HE) detergent and use the amount recommended for your load size and soil level.
- Clean drain system: Check and clean the drain pump filter and ensure the drain hose is not restricted.
- Inspect pressure hose: If Sd appears frequently even with correct detergent use, inspect and clear the pressure hose from tub to pressure switch.
Tip: Periodically run a hot "Clean Washer" cycle with no clothes and a washer cleaner to reduce residue that can cause suds issues.
