Possible Causes
Water in base tray activating float switch, Loose internal hose, Door boot leak, Over-sudsing causing overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and shut off water supply.
- Check for oversuds: If excessive suds are present, run a Rinse+Spin with no detergent to clear. Use HE detergent only and correct amounts.
- Inspect base: Tilt the washer and look for water in the base tray. Dry thoroughly and locate the leak source.
- Repair leaks: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses or door boot as needed.
- Reset: After drying and repair, plug in and test. If AE returns with no water present, the float switch or wiring may be faulty.
