CL appears on display and buttons do not respond; washer will not start a cycle.

Safety first: No internal repair is needed for normal CL operation.

• Disable child lock: On most LG washers, press and hold the designated Child Lock buttons (often Temp + Rinse or Prewash + Rinse) for 3–5 seconds until CL disappears. Refer to the user manual for your model.
• Check buttons: If CL will not clear, ensure buttons are not stuck or covered with detergent residue. Clean the panel with a damp cloth.
• Power reset: Unplug the washer for 5 minutes, then retry disabling Child Lock.
• Control panel fault: If CL remains and buttons do not respond, the control panel or main PCB may be defective and require service.
