• Check for door play: Gently lift and push the door. Excessive movement can cause intermittent contact. Tighten hinge screws.
• Inspect door lock: Look for signs of wear or burning on the lock assembly. If the latch tongue does not fully insert, adjust the door or replace the strike.
• Run test cycle: After adjustments, run a short cycle and lightly press on the door to see if the error disappears. If pressing on the door prevents dE1, the lock is likely failing.
• Replace lock if needed: Remove the front panel gasket clamp, access the lock from inside, disconnect wiring, and install a new LG door lock assembly.
