Possible Causes

Foreign object under pulsator, Worn gearcase, Damaged clutch or drive shaft splines

Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the pulsator or accessing the gearcase.

Remove pulsator: Take off the center cap and bolt, then lift the pulsator. Remove any coins or debris underneath.
Inspect splines: Check for worn or stripped splines on the pulsator and drive shaft.
