Possible Causes
Unlevel washer, Worn shock absorbers or suspension rods, Shipping bolts not removed (new install), Heavy items clumped on one side
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not place hands under a rocking washer while it is running.
- Level the washer: Use a level and adjust all feet until the washer is stable and does not rock. Tighten lock nuts.
- Check shipping bolts: On new LG front-loaders, ensure all rear shipping bolts have been removed.
- Inspect suspension: Check shocks (front-load) or rods (top-load) for leaks, broken mounts, or weak damping. Replace as a set if worn.
- Load distribution: Avoid washing single heavy items alone; add similar items to balance the load.
