Possible Causes
Severely unbalanced load, Overloaded drum, Faulty suspension rods or dampers, Worn shock absorbers (front-load models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Stop the cycle before opening the door or lid. Unplug the washer if you need to inspect internal parts.
- Redistribute load: Open the door/lid and redistribute laundry evenly around the drum. Remove heavy items (blankets, rugs) and wash them separately.
- Check load size: Do not fill the drum more than about 3/4 full. Overloading prevents proper spin balancing.
- Level the washer: Use a spirit level on top of the machine. Adjust the front and rear feet so the washer is stable and does not rock. Lock the feet with the jam nuts if present.
- Inspect suspension: For top-loaders, remove the top panel and check suspension rods for broken plastic ends or stretched springs. For front-loaders, inspect shock absorbers at the bottom front and rear for oil leakage or looseness. Replace worn suspension components with Midea-compatible parts.
- Test spin: Run a spin-only cycle with a small, evenly distributed load to confirm the issue is resolved.
