Possible Causes

Faulty drive motor, Defective inverter/control board, Loose motor harness, Worn carbon brushes (on brushed motors)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the motor or control board.

  • Check load and balance: First ensure the load is not severely unbalanced or overloaded; correct and retry.
  • Inspect motor harness: Remove rear panel and check the motor connector and wiring for damage or looseness. Reseat firmly.
  • Carbon brushes (if applicable): On some older Midea models with brushed motors, remove the motor and inspect brushes for wear (shorter than ~1 cm). Replace with correct Midea brush set if worn.
  • Test motor windings: Use a multimeter to check winding resistance according to service data. Replace the motor if open or shorted.
  • Control board: If motor and wiring are good, the inverter or main PCB may be faulty. Replacement is complex and usually best handled by a technician.
