Possible Causes
Closed or partially closed water tap, Clogged inlet hose filter screens, Faulty water inlet valve, Low household water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water taps before disconnecting hoses.
- Check water supply: Ensure both hot and cold taps (if used) are fully open and that other fixtures in the home have good pressure.
- Clean inlet filters: Turn off taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washer, and remove the small mesh filters inside the valve inlets. Rinse under running water and brush off sediment. Reinstall carefully.
- Inspect hoses: Check for kinks or crushing along the length of the hoses. Replace damaged hoses.
- Test inlet valve: With hoses connected and taps on, start a fill cycle and listen for the valve. If there is no sound and no water flow, the valve coil may be open or stuck. Use a multimeter to check coil resistance; replace the Midea water inlet valve assembly if defective.
- Verify pressure: If household pressure is very low, consult a plumber; the washer may not operate correctly below the minimum pressure specified in the manual.
