Possible Causes
Stuck-open water inlet valve, Faulty water level sensor, Blocked or detached pressure hose, Control board not shutting valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer immediately and turn off the water taps if water is continuously entering the drum.
- Stop water flow: Close both hot and cold water taps to prevent further filling.
- Check inlet valve: If water continues to flow into the drum with the washer unplugged, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Inspect pressure system: Check the pressure hose from tub to sensor for disconnection, cracks, or blockages. Reattach securely and clear any obstructions.
- Test water level sensor: Verify the sensor clicks when pressure is applied (by gently blowing into the hose). Replace if unresponsive or if readings are out of range.
- Control board: If the valve closes when unplugged but overfills only during operation, the control board may be mis-controlling the valve and may require replacement by a technician.
