How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply. If there is water in the base, mop it up before working.
- Inspect hoses: Remove the rear or front lower panel and inspect all visible hoses (inlet to tub, tub to pump, pump to drain) for cracks, pinholes, or loose clamps. Tighten clamps and replace damaged hoses.
- Check pump: Examine the drain pump body for cracks or signs of leakage around the seal. Replace the pump if leaking.
- Door gasket: For front-loaders, inspect the rubber door boot for tears, holes, or mold damage. Replace the gasket if compromised.
- Base float switch (if equipped): Some Midea models have a float switch in the base. Dry the base completely and ensure the float moves freely. Reset the error by unplugging for several minutes.
- Test: Run a short fill and drain cycle while observing for leaks.
